For a sun-splashed getaway with a little bit of everything that makes a Caribbean holiday so enticing, you can’t beat Anguilla

Located in the Eastern Caribbean, this under-the-radar gem is just 16 miles long, but is home to over 30 beautiful beaches and a hundred restaurants.
The feel of the island is very casual, with the focus mainly on relaxation and excellent cuisine, rather than nightlife – although there’s no shortage of delicious rum cocktails on offer.
And, with its unique blend of Caribbean charm and rich British heritage, this spot attracts visitors from around the world to experience its welcoming community and stunning natural beauty. So, if you’re a fan of good quality food, turquoise waters and powdery sand, you’re sure to fall in love with Anguilla.
Where to stay

We stayed at the luxury Zemi Beach House, which offers a fantastic service from start to finish. The hotel boasts a selection of modern suites and rooms, and is a gorgeous beach retreat with breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding tropical gardens. Zemi’s a sophisticated choice for families, who are well-catered for with the spa, outdoor tennis court, kids’ club, three outdoor swimming pools and direct access to Shoal Bay East, one of Anguilla’s best beaches.
Enjoy a meal at beach-front 20 Knots, one of Zemi Beach House’s three restaurants, which serves a fabulously diverse menu and drinks accompanied by live entertainment in the evening.
Take the family

If you’re travelling with a large group or celebrating a special occasion, check out CeBlue Villas. Close to the airport and overlooking the waters of Crocus Bay, this hidden sanctuary has the option to reserve specific room blocks for multiple villas at a time. With your own private pool and shared balconies, it’s a great choice for a big family holiday. Each villa has its own kitchen where you can cook or order in meals from private chefs.
If you’re travelling with little ones, it couldn’t be more convenient, with restaurants and bars just a stone’s throw away.
Sandy Ground beach really comes to life after dark with dancing and live entertainment. Elvis’ Beach Bar is a must.
Caribbean cuisine

Anguilla is the culinary capital of the Caribbean. From locally run BBQs to fine dining, the island has it all.
Veya Restaurant, a treehouse-style eatery, offers a unique combination of flavours inspired by the Caribbean, India, North Africa and Southeast Asia, along with a relaxed atmosphere.
Head to Salt at the Four Seasons Resort for a contemporary restaurant where you can enjoy excellent food, fine wines and cocktails with sea views.
For breakfast, we loved Tasty’s POV. The menu is amazing and consists of French, Caribbean and American fare – the French Toast is highly recommended, as are the Eggs Benedict and stunning views.
Time to explore

If you thought Anguilla was pint-sized, take the 15-minute boat journey to the serene Sandy Island – a tiny islet with a beach bar that serves fresh fruit cocktails, local seafood and awesome views.
The island’s underwater visibility is unmatched, and that makes snorkelling a must. Crocus Bay is one of the most popular destinations. Book with Sea Blue Excursions to enjoy a kayaking tour along with your snorkelling. After your ocean dip, grab a cocktail on the sand at Da’Vida Beach Club.
Rent a Moke, a retro, open-side car, through Moke Anguilla to explore the island. They come in a range of vivid colours and make the perfect prop for taking pictures at the island’s most Insta-worthy spots.
